The Heart Sūtra (Sanskrit: Prajñāpāramitāhṛdaya / Chinese: 心經 Xīnjīng) is a popular sutra in Mahāyāna Buddhism. Its title translates as "The Heart of the Perfection of Wisdom". The sutra famously states, "Form is empty, emptiness is formed." (śūnyatā).
